Recently, Ruicheng Pump Industry reached a preliminary agreement with a client regarding a project to supply a pressure stabilization system for a PE diaphragm production line. The project will utilize a 1480cc displacement melt pump, primarily for melt conveyance, pressure boosting and stabilization, and continuous metering within the production line, thereby supporting the stable operation of downstream processes.
PE diaphragm production lines have stringent requirements for melt pressure, flow stability, and temperature control. Such production conditions typically involve composite material systems, where the material exhibits a certain degree of viscosity and process sensitivity at high temperatures. Significant fluctuations in pressure at the extrusion end can easily affect the uniformity of material supply downstream, thereby impacting membrane thickness, forming quality, and production continuity. Therefore, configuring a melt pump suitable for the operating conditions within the extrusion system is a critical step in enhancing production line stability.
Given the wide flow range of this customer’s production line, the inlet and outlet pressures, as well as the system pressure differential, placed high demands on the equipment’s pressure-bearing capacity and operational stability. During preliminary project discussions, Ruicheng Pump Industry comprehensively evaluated the melt pump’s displacement, structural design, heating and insulation methods, sealing configuration, and control requirements based on the material composition, operating temperature, production capacity, pressure range, and installation conditions provided by the customer. This ensured the equipment would optimally adapt to the customer’s on-site operating conditions.
As the key component of this pressure stabilization system, the 1480cc melt pump is installed between the extruder and the downstream process equipment. Its primary function is to continuously and stably convey the melt to the downstream system via a positive displacement gear pump mechanism, while simultaneously buffering pressure fluctuations at the extruder end to a certain extent, thereby ensuring smoother outlet pressure and flow. For continuous, precision production lines such as those for PE diaphragms, stable melt output helps improve the controllability of the downstream molding process and reduces production instability caused by pressure fluctuations.
During the project’s implementation, Ruicheng Pump Industry engaged in multiple rounds of technical discussions with the client regarding operating parameters, equipment selection, and supporting solutions. The client recognized Ruicheng Pump Industry’s product expertise, technical responsiveness, and solution-matching capabilities in the field of high-temperature, high-viscosity material conveyance, ultimately leading to this initial collaboration.
Ruicheng Pump Industry has long specialized in the R&D and manufacturing of melt pumps, melt metering pumps, and high-temperature, high-viscosity material conveyance equipment. Its products are applicable in fields such as plastic extrusion, film, sheet, pipe, pelletizing, chemical fibers, hot melt adhesives, petroleum, and polymer material processing. Moving forward, Ruicheng Pump Industry will continue to excel in melt pump production, quality control, and technical coordination to provide stable and tailored melt conveying and pressure stabilization solutions for the client’s PE film production line.
